Thus It Begins...

My old online writing cogs are getting oiled and prepared for motion.  The first step in starting the inertia is feeding it, watering the plant, in hopes that something with life and movement will grow.  I feel optimistic about this.

Josh,

The sample tracks on the website are excellent! I just purchased Jacaranda. I can't wait for it to arrive. Keep creating and sharing your instrumental and lyrical expressions. I find them inspirational. Thanks for your friendship and for your thoughts and prayers for me while I was a resident at Riley Towers and deployed to Afghanistan with the Army National Guard. I am now in DC at the National Guard Headquarters. Hopefully, I will get a chance to see you perform again soon either here or in another location. I am glad to see that things are going well for you.

Best Regards,

Rick Mercer

Hey Josh, I just wanted to say that Season of Rain is one of the most gorgeous things I have ever heard. It started playing on the music player on your site, and when I heard the harp-line from Jesu, Son Most Dear, my heart almost broke right then.

I would buy the album for that song alone, but your talent assures that I don't need to, and I've already ordered it. Thanks for what you're doing. You've brought more grace and beauty into my life through your music.

Your music has been such a huge blessing in my life, no joke. I stumbled upon Underquiet at Half-Priced Books in Indianapolis (!) and that album will always be one of my favorite discoveries. After moving across the country, "Restless Ones" has become somewhat of an anthem to me. So I thank you for your inspirational work, and hope that others will make the same discovery!

Josh,
My name is Paul and would be considered an old guy and former Deadhead. I am up here in Hickory, would love to get you to come up someday to play at our church or at a coffe shop!
I can't say enough how your music has enhanced my walk with our Father. All your music is a mainstay on my Mp3 list (along with Braddigan's)
have you ever thought about doing an Jamband style improv?
Anyway, Thank you and praise God for your talent, creativity and your heart to be exposed through music
A huge fan
Paul H

Here's a something that might help your thought germination for the blog:

Josh,

Thanks for being such a true artist and inspiring so many of us Christians who need real uniqueness in our music libraries. I get excited that you will have a new album every time I visit your website. My wife and I have listened to you for the past few years, I think Stone Tree was your only official album. Your heart is evident. "For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks, a good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things,..." So your heart is seen in what you say, and don't say. your mouth is the overflow valve of your heart. Thanks for overflowin on us good treasures. Keep it up. We would love to hear a solely souly :) worship album too.

Your bro and sis,
Joel and Sarah
